Men's Lacrosse returns to the road for midweek game at Elmhurst

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin returns to action on Wednesday for the Midwest Lacrosse Conference opener at Elmhurst College at 4 p.m. The Bluejays are a first-year program and the midweek contest will be their first of the season.

CUW (3-2) has won two games in a row, both on the road this past weekend. Junior Sam Wladyka (Winnipeg, Manitoba) paced the team with four goals and an assist in their 10-9 win over Albion College and 8-2 victory at Alma College.

Wladyka leads CUW with 13 points (11 goals, two assists), while sophomore Derek Brueske (Hopkins, Minn.) has 10 points (four goals, six assists). In all, 14 players have recorded at least one point this season. Junior Zack Davis (La Porte, Ind.) has made 45 saves and has a .517 save percentage.

EC head coach Mark Morrell will guide 14 players into its first season of NCAA Division III competition. Wednesday's game is the first four consecutive MLC games to begin their season.
