Falcon stat of the week, by the numbers

STAT OF THE WEEK (69) - Concordia University Wisconsin's Wrestling duo of sophomores Greg Sanders and Sean Ambrocio have combined for 69 wins this season as both qualified for the 2013 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships. Sanders (San Antonio, Texas) owns a 36-4 record at the 149 lb. weight class and advanced to next weekend's championships after placing second at the regional meet. Ambrocio (San Antonio, Texas) earned the 125 lb. title at the NCAA Division III West Regional and will enter the national meet with a 33-5 mark.

.384 – The Men's Lacrosse team's shot percentage as of March 3, which ranks them eighth nationally among all NCAA Division III teams. The Falcons shot nearly 53.0 percent in the season opener against Calvin College. They scored 18 goals on 34 shots (29 on goal). In the victory, three CUW players scored three goals each and finished with a combined 15 shots (12 on goal).

5 – The Men's and Women's Track & Field teams number of athletes who earned school records during the 2013 indoor season. Two of those records came last Saturday at the Pointer Final Qualifier as sophomore Andrew Faber and freshman Mike Prue earned program-best performances in the weight throw and 800-meter run, respectively. Faber (Germantown, Wis.) threw 15.5 meters, while Prue clocked in at 1:57.41. Also earning a school record on the men's side this season was sophomore Josh Lehr (Appleton, Wis.) in the pole vault. Lehr accomplished the feat at the Northern Athletics Conference Indoor Championships Feb. 24, clearing 4.25 meters.

On the women's side sophomore Emily Mauermann set two school records at the NAC Indoor Championships, in the 200- and 400-meter dashes. Mauermann (Janesville, Wis.) finished second in both events at the meet, running the 200 in 26.8 and the 400 in 1:01.2.
