Falcons Face Forester Spring Invite
VERNON HILLS, Ill. – The CUW men's golf team traveled to White Deer Run Golf Club for the Forester Spring Invite hosted by Lake Forest.
The Falcons took 12th place with a total of 352 strokes. Kishwaukee CC won the tournament with 258 total strokes.
Senior Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) led the flock with a fifth-place finish after a 76-stroke performance.
With a 55th-place finish, freshman Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) took team second with a score of 91 strokes.
Freshmen Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) and Andrew Elmhorst (Manawa, Wis.) finished in 56th and 60th place with scores of 92 and 93 respectively.
Junior Nick Roberts (Milwaukee, Wis.) rounded out the Falcon squad with a 69th-place finish and a score of 105 strokes.
Both junior Isaiah Palmquist (Oshkosh, Wis.) and sophomore Josef Schmitt (Scottsdale, Ariz.) competed as individuals in the tournament. Palmquist finished in 63rdplace with 95 total strokes and Schmitt finished in 70th place with 132 total strokes.
The Falcons travel to WLC on Saturday to take on the Warriors.
