Falcons Finish Fifth at Scots Invite

MONMOUTH, Ill. – The CUW men's golf team competed in the Scot Invite hosted by Monmouth College at Gibson Woods Golf Course.

The Falcons finished in fifth place with a team score of 331 strokes.  Knox College took the crown with 294 strokes.

Senior Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) led the flock with a seventh-place finish with 75 strokes.

Freshman Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) took second on the team with 81 shots taking 18th place.

Junior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) came into the clubhouse with 83 strokes which sat him at 21st.

Freshman Joshua Maine (Tecumseh, Ont.) and junior Nick Roberts (Milwaukee, Wis.) scored 92 and 96 strokes respectively taking 32nd and 33rd at the invite.

Freshman Joshua Samsell (Bay City, Mich.) and sophomore Josef Schmitt (Scottsdale, Ariz.) competed as individuals in the tournament and posted scores of 97 and 131 strokes for 34th and 38th places.

The Blue and White hit the course again on Tuesday for the Clarke University Spring Invite.
