Men’s Golf Finishes Season at NACC Championships

KOHLER, Wis. – The CUW men's golf team finished its fall season at Blackwolf Run on Monday taking part in the NACC Championships. 

The Spartans of Aurora lead the tournament that will conclude in the spring by shooting a total of 584 strokes on the weekend.

The Falcons are in eighth place with a total of 654 strokes over the two-round outing.

The Falcons were led by senior Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) shooting a 148-stroke total posting a four over score for the weekend taking seventh place.

The younger Carlton brother, Andrew Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.), followed up an 86-stroke day on Sunday with an 80-stroke performance on Monday to net 166 strokes over the two days.  Tied with Andrew was Carsten Zange, a junior from Robins, Iowa, posting day scores of 81 and 85 strokes,

Fourth for the Falcons was junior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) with 174 strokes.  Sherman started the weekend with a Sunday performance of 89 strokes and followed it up with an 85-stroke Monday afternoon.

 Rounding out the flock at the championship was freshman Leighton Marion-Burns (Regina, Sask.) shooting day scores of 102 and 103 strokes totaling 205 for the tournament.

The Falcons look toward the spring where they will continue their NACC Championship run.
