Four Falcons Named to the ACHA All-Central Region Teams

MEQUON, Wis. – The American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) announced its 2023-24 All-Region Teams on Friday afternoon and named four Falcons to the three All-Central Region Teams.

A freshman from Glenview, Illinois, Chuck Emme, secured his spot on the All-Central Region First Team as a forward.  Emme has been putting on quite the show in the ACHA this year tallying in an impressive 83 points. He leads all of ACHA Division II in both points and goals, scoring 51 goals this season.

Ian Malcolmson claims a spot on the All-Central Region Second Team as a forward. This is the senior's second season in the ACHA and his second-straight year being named to the All-Central Region Team. Last season he was able to build up quite a long list of rewards being named ACHA Division II Player of the Year and CUW Male Athlete of the Year as well. Ian is ranked 7th in points in ACHA Division II and tied for fourth in assists.

Garrett Wilderman, a junior from Waukesha, Wisconsin, claims a spot on the All-Central Region Third Team. Wilderman receives this honor for the first team in his career. The assistant captain is tied with Ian Malcolmson for fourth in assists with 44 on the year. He is sitting on a career-high of 58 points on the year.

Rounding out the Falcons and joining Wilderman on the All-Central Region Third Team is senior captain Rex Staudacher. Staudacher is the lone defenseman for CUW on the All-Central Region Team. His offensive production has made an impact on the Falcons as he records 34 points on the season.

The Falcons head to Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday for the ACHA Division II Central Regional Tournament. They will play on Saturday at 1 pm EST vs the second-lowest seed from the winners on Friday.
