ACHA Hockey Snipes No. 16 Sault

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons bounced back from a late-night Friday tie against Sault. The Falcons closed the weekend with a 6-2 victory over Sault. The Blue and White improve to 18-8-3 on the year with the win.

The Falcons started the game with three goals in the first period.

Freshman Chuck Emme (Glenview, Ill.) started the scoring at 4:28.

Senior John Swiatek (Rochester, N.Y.) then found the back of the net off assists from Chuck Emme and senior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.).

Senior Rex Staudacher (Yorkville, Ill.) then scored on the power play five minutes later off assists from junior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) and junior Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.).

Trenton Sherman started the scoring in the second period off a pass from senior Easton Williams (Racine, Wis.).

Easton Williams scored on the power play with the assists going to Garrett Wilderman and Chuck Emme.

The scoring ended on Saturday in the third period off the stick of Easton Williams and an assist from senior Steven Delikat (Oak Creek, Wis.). 

Senior Ian Robertson (Calgary, Alberta) posted 39 saves in the victory.

The Falcons fought off all 11 power plays for Sault.

The Cougars held a 41-32 advantage in shots.

The Falcons close out the home portion of the schedule on Friday night against Wisconsin.
