
Ainara Sainz De Rozas Selected For NCAA Championships
MEQUON, Wis. – The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) announced the qualifiers for the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships on Sunday afternoon.
Ainara Sainz De Rozas was selected as one of the qualifiers for the championships.
"It is a dream and an honor to represent CUW and my teammates and all of our hard work at the biggest level," said Ainara Sainz De Rozas.
Ainara Sainz De Rozas, a junior from Madrid, Spain, is qualifying for the NCAA Championships for the first time in her career.
This is the fourth time that a Falcon has qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships. Amanda Kuca qualified for the championships in 2003, 2004 and 2005. She finished in fifth place in 2005 and 11th place in 2004.
On Saturday, Sainz De Rozas claimed All-North Region honors when he finished in 15th place at the regional championships at 22:34.9.
She was one of thirty-eight individuals that were selected to participate in the championships.
The 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships will take place on November 23 in Terre Haute, Indiana, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. The women's 6000-meter championship race is scheduled for an 11:00 start.
