Falcons Finish Third at Ken Weidt Classic
MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's cross country team finished in third place at the Ken Weidt Classic on Saturday. As a team, CUW collected 57 points. The Eagles of Wisconsin-La Crosse won the team title at 45 points.
Junior Ainara Sainz De Rozas (Madrid, Spain) was the individual champion at 22:40.0.
Junior Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) earned the bronze medal at 23:31.6.
In fourth place was senior Alicia Kawa (Medford, Wis.) at 23L41.2.
Sophomore Mikayla Becker (Plantation, Fla.) brought home 30th place at 25:09.1.
In 50th place was junior Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) at 25:54.2, ahead of sophomore Abigail Lange (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) in 51st place at 26:00.0.
Sophomore Kylee Camble (Cudahy, Wis.) crossed the finish line at 26:32.7 in 63rd place.
In 72nd place was sophomore Bailee Schlender (Brillion, Wis.) at 27:15.9.
Junior Elizabeth Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) finished in 77th place at 27:29.0.
Senior Ella Brill (Oostburg, Wis.) brought in a time of 27:55.3 in 84th place.
Freshman Annabelle Gonnering (West Bend, Wis.) secured a time of 29:43.1 in 102nd place.
The Falcons will have their next race at Rose Hulman on Oct. 4.
