Falcons Finish Fifth at NACC Championships

GENEVA, Ill. – The CUW women's cross country team competed at the NACC Championships on Saturday. The Falcons finished in fifth place as a team with 112 points. The host Spartans of Aurora defended their home course with the victory with 59 points. Rachel Ehrhart of Edgewood was the Athlete of the Year at 22:22.8. Jamie Catania of Lakeland was the Freshman of the Year in 15th place at 25:03.2.

Junior Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) earned All-NACC honors in sixth place at 24:35.9.

Freshman Abigail Poehlman picked up a 24th-place finish at 25:38.8.

Senior MaryGrace Cleinmark (Danvers, Ill.) claimed a 28th-place time of 25:46.7.

Freshman Ainara Sainz De Rozas (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) ran a time of 26:01.7 in 30th place, just ahead of freshman Melanie Arvis in 31st place at 26:10.2.

In 40th place was senior Micah Hill (Camdenton, Mo.) at 26:40.0.

Freshman Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) placed 43rd in the race at 27:27.8.

Junior Abigail Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) finished in 46th at 27:45.2.

Freshman Elizabeth Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) clocked in at 28:05.8 in 50th place.

Junior Holly Klomhaus (Poplar, Wis.) rounded out the flock in 58th place at 28:44.3.

The Falcons will race again on Nov. 12 at the NCAA Division III North Regional Championships in  Minnesota.
