
CUW Places Fourth at Private College Championships
WEST ALLIS, Wis. – The CUW women's cross country team ran on Saturday at the Wisconsin Private College Championships. The birds built a fourth-place finish with 107 points. The Red Hawks of Ripon won with 30 points.
The Falcons landed a trio of Third-Team All-State runners on Saturday.
Junior Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) led the flock in 20th place at 25:10.3.
In 21st place was freshman Ainara Sainz De Rozas (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) at 25:15.6.
Following behind was freshman Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) in the final All-State spot in 22nd place at 25:26.9.
Freshman Abigail Poehlman (Hubertus, Wis.) picked up a 23rd-place finish at 25:37.1.
Senior Micah Hill (Camdenton, Mo.) clocked in at 26:02.0 in 26th place.
Senior MaryGrace Cleinmark (Danvers, Ill.) finished in 33rd place at 26:22.4.
Freshman Elizabeth Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) recorded a time of 26:43.3 in 36th place.
Junior Abigail Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) ran a time of 27:09.5 in 38th place.
Junior Holly Klomhaus (Poplar, Wis.) crossed the finish line at 27:14.3 in 40th place.
Senior Kaitlynn Sabish (Campbellsport, Wis.) secured a 71st-place finish at 30:33.8.
In 75th place was Sophomore Lauren Pichler (Waukesha, Wis.) at 30:53.9.
The Falcons return to action on Oct. 29 at the NACC Championships at Aurora.
