Falcon wrestlers fifth at Elmhurst Invite

Josh Nord (Sr., Oconomowoc, WI) placed 3rd at 174 lbs. to lead the CUW Wrestling team (3-6 overall, 2-1 Conference) to a 5th-place finish at the Al Hanke Elmhurst Invite on Saturday. Nord went 3-1 on the day to push his team-leading season record on the year to 12-6.

Nord also moved into 15th place in career wins at Concordia with 47. He passed current CUW Assistant Coach Jeremy Fischer with a pin over MSOE's Adam Chauklin in the 3rd-place match.

Other placers for CUW included Alec Silva (5th at 125), Shane Brandl (6th at 184), and Ben Hertel (6th at 197).

The Falcons next travel to Wheaton College on Saturday for a triple dual against Olivet College (MI), Augustana College (IL), and Wheaton. The duals begin at 10:00am.
