Women’s Lacrosse travels to face Midland on Saturday

MEQUON, Wis. - Hoping to snap a four-game losing streak, the Concordia University Wisconsin women's lacrosse team will travel to Fremont, Neb. on Saturday, where they'll face non-conference foe Midland University. Game time is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Christensen Field.

CUW (1-8) suffered a pair of losses last weekend, dropping an 11-10 heartbreaker on the road against Robert Morris University on Friday before coming up short in an 18-10 defeat at home to Pacific University on Saturday.

The Falcons continue to be led by freshman Sammi Reiter, arguably the most dangerous offensive player in the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference.

Reiter scored a program record seven goals in last weekend's loss to Pacific, which was also a career high for the Stillwater, Minn. native.

The first-year midfielder leads the MWLC in goals per game (4.22), and so far has scored 38 goals on just 54 shots.

Midland (5-8) will be playing in its final game of the regular season, having not played since March 24.

The Warriors are led by junior Breanna McLaughlin, who has scored a team-high 23 goals to go with four assists.
