Women's Golf Opens the Weekend in Third Place

MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's golf team competed for the first time over two weeks on Saturday afternoon at the Monmouth Fight Scot Invite. The Falcons opened the competition in third place with 378 strokes. The Comets of Olivet lead with 353 strokes.

Junior Elizabeth Montaba (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) is tied for second place at 85 strokes.

Sophomore Shauna Grahn (New Berlin, Wis.) sits in eighth place at 94 strokes.

In 12th place is senior Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) at 98 strokes.

Freshman Mady Doering (Appleton, Wis.) shot a round of 101 strokes in 14th place.

The Falcons are scheduled to close the tournament on Sunday morning, but the weather might cancel the round.
