Reese paces Men's Cross Country in two-mile dual

MEQUON, Wis. – Craig Reese finished first in helping pace the Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Cross Country team in a season-opening two-mile dual against MSOE Tuesday. The Raiders defeated the Falcons in the event held on the campus of Concordia Wisconsin.

- Falcons Top Five: Reese (10:25); Emanuel Huerta-Gutierrez (11:19); Ryan Teigen (11:34); Nikolai Haak (11:57); Justin Johnson (12:23)

RESULTS
- Reese (Germantown, Wis.) ran a 10:25, finishing five seconds ahead of second-place in the season-opening event. He was the lone Falcon in the top six, as MSOE had the next five runners cross the finish line.

- Huerta-Gutierrez (Walworth, Wis.) ran an 11:19 to finish seventh in the race. He came in ahead of Teigen (Fargo, N.D.), who posted a time of 11:34 for an eighth-place finish.

- Haak (Elizabethtown, Ind.) and Johnson (Van Dyne, Wis.) were the next two Falcons to finish Tuesday, coming in with times of 11:57 and 12:23, respectively.

- The final two CUW runners on Tuesday were Matthew Wilcox (APO, AE) and Zachary Hutchins (Kewaskum, Wis.). Wilcox posted a time of 13:10, while Hutchins ran a 13:18.

UP NEXT
- The Falcons will run their first 8K of the season on Saturday, September 9 when they host the Ken Weidt Classic. The men's race is set for a noon start.
