No. 9 Dominican sweeps Men’s Volleyball, 3-0

MEQUON, Wis. – The men's volleyball team put up a good fight against Dominican tonight in the John Buuck Fieldhouse.

Dominican was able to put up the first couple of points on the board tonight, which helped them gain momentum.

The first point for the Falcons would come from junior James Althoff (Kenosha, Wis.) with a kill. The Stars would win the first set 25-20.

The Stars would get the first two points in the second set, but freshman Spencer Herman (Appleton, Wis.)  would stop them at two with a kill. Dominican would take the second set 25-15.

The third set would take a turn with the Falcons getting the first point by sophomore Andy Ellingham (Burlington, Wis.) with the kill.

Concordia would keep the score close throughout the third set and even come within one point of the Stars.

Dominican would take the third and final set 25-21.

Herman led the Falcons in kills with 11, Ellingham would be close behind with eight and Althoff with seven.

Althoff would have six digs for the Blue and White.

The Falcons are set to play next at Aurora on Tuesday, March 16 at 7 PM.
