Men’s Tennis Advances to NACC Tournament Finals

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's tennis team swept the MSOE Raiders in the NACC Semifinals on Friday evening and will advance to compete in the NACC Finals in Kohler, Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons swept doubles play to take the 3-0 lead heading into singles play.

The number one doubles team of senior Logan Snyder (Franklin, Ind.) and freshman Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) dominated their competition with an 8-2 score.

The number two doubles team of senior Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) and freshman Peter Naylor (Lockport, Ill.) were victorious with an 8-4 final score.

The number three doubles squad of junior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.) and sophomore Isaac Bruins (Oak Creek, Wis.) also took home an 8-4 victory.

The Falcons headed into singles play only needing two points to move on to the NACC Tournament Finals.

Klement was the first Falcon to finish singles with a pair of victories with scores of 6-3 and 6-1.

Sather secured the victory for the Blue and White with scores of 6-3 and 6-4.

The Falcons were leading in two of the other four matches as well.

The flock will take on the winner of the Illinois Tech and Wisconsin Lutheran matchup that will take place on Saturday.
