Men's Tennis Opens NACC Play with a Win

COUNTRYSIDE, Ill. – The CUW men's tennis team opened NACC play on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons opened the day with a 9-0 loss at North Central. The Falcons then flipped the script and beat Concordia Chicago 9-0 to improve to 4-8 on the year and 1-0 in the NACC.

The Falcons did not drop a point in doubles play against the Cougars with three 9-0 victories.

Senior Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) and freshman Peter Naylor (Lockport, Ill.) won at No. 1 doubles.

Senior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.) and freshman Izak Roscher (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) claimed the victory at No. 2 doubles.

Sophomore Isaac Bruins (Oak Creek, Wis.) and sophomore Nathan Bilan (Greendale, Wis.) were victorious on court three.

Logan Snyder handed CUC its lone point of the day at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Peter Rios.

Tim Peters pounced on Josh Wright at No. 2 singles at 6-0, 6-0.

Landon Sather sank Caleb Gustaphon at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Joshua Klement canned Scott Engler at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Peter Naylor knocked off Alan Martinez at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Izak Roscher ran over Kevin Januska at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

The Falcons continue their weekend on Sunday at Wisconsin Lutheran.
