WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Soccer team dropped a non-conference match at Carroll Wednesday evening. The host Pioneers scored once in each half to down the Falcons 2-0.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pioneers struck in the 17th minute on one of two shots on goal for Carroll in the opening half. Chad Peterson scored his first goal of the season to put the Falcons in a 1-0 deficit.
- CUW once again controlled possession but failed to finish on Wednesday. In the opening half, the Falcons outshot Carroll 12-3, with a 7-2 edge in shots on goal. Connor Thompson of the Pioneers was brilliant with seven first-half saves.
- The second half saw Carroll go up 2-0 in the 68th minute on a score by Peanut Taylor. Taylor's shot was the only one on goal for the Pioneers in the second half.
- CUW finished the match with a 16-6 edge in shots, including a 9-3 edge in shots on goal. Thompson made nine saves for the Pioneers.
- Ryan Kreuser (Suamico, Wis.) and Zach Gyuricza (Chicago, Ill.) each tallied three shots on goal for the Falcons. Dagoberto Diaz (Woodburn, Ore.) totaled four shots.
