
Falcons Finish 19th at Culver's Fall Classic
JANESVILLE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team finished the Culver's Edgewood Fall Classic on Saturday. The Falcons finished tied for 19th place with the host Eagles of Edgewood at 652 strokes. The Blue and White improved by six strokes on Saturday. Wisconsin-Strout cruised to the victory at 573 strokes.
Freshman Dylan Smith (Amhurst, Wis.) finished in 68th place to lead the flock at 159 strokes, with a round of 82 strokes.
Senior Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) improved two strokes from Friday to finish in 72nd place at 160 strokes.
Senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) recorded a round of 84 strokes to land in 89th place at 163 strokes.
Senior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) had the best round of the day for Concordia at 78 strokes to finish in 102nd place at 166 strokes. He dropped 10 strokes from Friday.
Freshman Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) shaved five strokes from Friday to finish at 81 strokes on Saturday and finished in 104th place at 167 strokes.
Junior Trevor Wotring (Johnsburg, Ill.) also improved by five strokes on Saturday at 82 strokes to finish the two-day tournament at 169 strokes in 108th place.
Concordia will compete again at the Carthage Firebird Invite on Sept. 9 at Hawks View Golf Course.
