CUW Opens Spring Play

GALESBURG, Ill. – The CUW men's golf team opened play at the Jim Wetherbee Invite on Saturday. The Falcons opened the spring season with 339 strokes to sit in 18th place. Wisconsin-Stout and Illinois Central lead at 306 strokes.

Senior Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) is one stroke off the lead at 74 strokes in a three-way tie for second place.

Freshman Nico Murgas-Bennett (Racine, Wis.) is tied for 73rd place at 85 strokes.

In 95th place is junior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) with 89 strokes.

Freshman Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) is in 101st place at 91 strokes.

Sitting in 114th place is freshman Andrew Elmhorst (Manawa, Wis.) at 98 strokes.

With 100 strokes, junior Isaiah Palmquist (Oshkosh, Wis.) is in 116th place.

The Falcons close out the tournament on Sunday.
