CUW Unveils Catalyst Men’s Varsity Locker Room

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin unveiled the Catalyst Men's Varsity Locker Room on Wednesday morning. The locker room will house the football, men's lacrosse, men's volleyball and men's wrestling teams.

"I am excited to open the Catalyst Men's Varsity Locker Room for use by our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Barnhill. "This space has not been significantly addressed since the 90s so it was long overdue. I trust that our players, coaches, and staff will appreciate the space and make great use of it. This project would not have been possible without the generosity of our donors so to them I say thank you. The locker room is a hallowed space where teams and relationships are formed and molded and I think this locker room will go a long way to support the development of our players."

The upgrades to the locker room are a continuation of improvements to the facilities at Concordia that have included renovations at Tomasini Stadium, Catalyst Park, Tennis Courts, Fitting Field, Kapco Park and inside the R. John Buuck Fieldhouse.

The new locker room features 150 new lockers with a lockable 5/8' wood door with a polyester laminate finish, a lockable grille door with a 1-1/4" x 16 gauge tube frame with 1' openings welded at all intersections and a security box made of 18-gauge steel box bolted to each locker.

The Catalyst Men's Varsity Locker Room has also been upgraded to the 21st century with new audiovisual, information and entertainment systems installed.

The upgrade also features new flooring and LED lighting.

This is the first significate upgrade to the locker room since the 1990s.

Concordia University Wisconsin would like to thank everyone that helped make this project happen.
