Rink Notes: Women's Hockey hosts St. Norbert in home/NCHA opener

MEQUON, Wis. – After opening the season with a split in a two-game set against Hamline, the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Hockey team is set for the 2016-17 home opener Tuesday. The Falcons will also open NCHA play Tuesday night as they welcome St. Norbert to the Ozaukee Ice Center.

THE BASICS
- Who: Concordia Wisconsin (1-1-0, 0-0-0 NCHA) vs. St. Norbert (0-1-0, 0-0-0 NCHA)
- Where: Ozaukee Ice Center – Mequon, Wisconsin
- When: Tuesday, November 1 (7 p.m.)
- Live Coverage: Live stats and video will be available for home hockey contests this season. Live links can be found by accessing the Women's Hockey Schedule page on CUWFalcons.com.

DIGITAL GAME PROGRAM
- A digital game program for the game can be found here. A one-page front and back program will be available at the admissions table at the game for $2. Fans can also access the digital game program at the rink for free by scanning a QR code or visiting cuwfalcons.com/programs.

RINK NOTES
- OPENING WEEKEND: The Falcons split their opening weekend series at Hamline. CUW dropped a 5-2 contest Friday, but rallied with three late second-period goals to gain a 4-3 win Saturday. Veronika Metanova and Natasha Wanless each tallied two points Saturday, while Brandi Muller netted the game-winning score.

- NCHA OPENER: The Falcons are 4-4-1 all-time in conference openers. Last season, CUW visited the Green Knights and dropped a 4-1 contest on November 3.

- BALANCED ATTACK: The Falcons had seven different players record a point over the opening weekend. Metanova and Wanless led the way with two, while Baylee Darling, Lexi Holman, Kristen Kennedy, Nicole Krumwiede and Brandi Muller all added points.

- FALCONS AT HOME: CUW struggled at home last season, posting a 3-8-2 record. The Falcons will look to get back to the 2014-15 success they had inside the Ozaukee Ice Center when they went 8-3-2 in home contests.
