Softball hosts Lakeland on Saturday, Aurora on Sunday

MEQUON, Wis. - Winners of four straight and currently in a tight race at the top of the Northern Athletics Conference standings, the Concordia University Wisconsin softball team will host a pair of doubleheaders this weekend, as they face Lakeland College on Saturday before meeting Aurora University on Sunday.

Both doubleheaders will begin at approximately 12 p.m., and live play-by-play, as well as live stats, will be provided for all four games.

CUW (15-11, 10-2 NAC) is in the midst of a four-game winning streak in which they've outscored their opponents by a lopsided 20-3 margin. The Falcons secured a pair of 2-1 victories over MSOE at home last Saturday, before cruising in both games of a doubleheader at Edgewood College on Wednesday.

Sophomore pitcher Jamie Schuh (Freedom, Wis.) has been dominant for head coach Steve Crook and the Falcons, posting a 2.41 ERA in 81.1 innings of work. Schuh also ranks first in the NAC in strikeouts per game, currently averaging 7.33 K's a game.

At the plate, freshman Jessica Liszka (Lindenhurst, Ill.) continues to lead CUW in a number of offensive categories, including team-highs in batting average (.404), hits (38), RBI (20), and stolen bases (8).

Lakeland (12-8, 7-1 NAC) have won two straight after sweeping a doubleheader at Marian University on Wednesday.

The Muskies are led by the dual-threat Erin Henk, who leads the team at the plate with a .404 batting average while also posting a team-best 3.01 ERA in the circle.

Aurora (12-12, 7-3 NAC) split a doubleheader against North Central College on Thursday, and will play a pair of games against MSOE on Saturday.

Tristan Wilcox has led the Spartans offensively, posting a .440 batting average that ranks third in the NAC.
