Men’s Track & Field Takes on the Squig Invitational

WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's track & field team competed at the Leonard Squig Converse Invitational on Friday. After some electrical issues delayed the start, the Falcons then soared.

Junior Mitchell Moeller (Cedarburg, Wis.) placed fifth in the weight throw at 15.85 meters

Junior Bernie Van Den Heuvel (Valders, Wis.) was seventh in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.89. He also led the flock in the 200-meter dash at 25.52 in 50th place.

CUW had two in the top 20 in shot put on Friday with Mitchell Moeller in 10th place at 12.98 meters and senior Seth Day (Sunset Hills, Mo.) in 20th place at 12.15 meters.

In the 3000-meter run, senior Timmy Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) took 11th place at 8:46.53.

Junior Nate Waech (West Bend, Wis.) reached 4.01 meters in the pole vault in 12th place.

Freshman Mason Everts (Saukville, Wis.) crossed the finish line at 17:21.79 in the 5000-meter run in 13th place.

Freshman Riley Johnson (Cedar Lake, Ind.) was the fastest Falcon in the 800-meter run at 2:18.15.

Sophomore Mason Knueppel (Jackson, Wis.) finished 20th in the triple jump at 11.29 meters and with Aaron Klug in 21st place at 11.06 meters.

Freshman Se'Korrey Thomas (Punta Gorda, Fla.) led the flock in the 60-meter prelims at 7.08 with Dane Tischendorf at 7.39.

The 4x400 meter relay placed ninth at 3:55.55.

The Falcons close the action on Saturday.
