Raiders Win on Wednesday Night

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's soccer team traveled to the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday night. The Raiders rumbled past CUW with a 3-1 victory. The loss sends the Falcons to 4-7 on the year and to 2-5-0 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.

The Raiders struck in the first minute of the match off a corner play that was not cleared out of the zone.

MSOE struck again in the 37th minute with a blast into the upper corner.

The Red and White held a 9-0 advantage in shots heading into halftime.

MSOE scored again in transition in the 51st minute.

The Falcons responded with their first shots of the match with a shot from freshman Vladimir Campos (Milwaukee, Wis.) that was blocked and a shot that just missed off the boot of sophomore Carson Kelly (Fond Du Lac, Wis.).

The Falcons landed on the scoreboard in the 73rd minute with a blast past the leaping keeper from sophomore Lukas Olson (Eau Claire, Wis.) for his first collegiate goal off an assist from freshman Garrett Solcz (Green Bay, Wis.).

Freshman Brenden Hummer (O'Fallon, Mo.) made his first collegiate start on Wednesday and ended with four saves.

The Raiders held a 20-4 advantage in shots on Wednesday night.

The Falcons look to bounce back on Saturday at home against Edgewood.
