Van Dusseldorp scores twice as Men's Soccer defeats MBBC

MEQUON, Wis. – Sophomore Keegan Van Dusseldorp certainly enjoys playing against the Maranatha Baptist Bible College Men's Soccer team. The forward recorded his only career hat trick against MBBC a season ago and scored two goals Tuesday in the Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Soccer 4-1 win at Fitting Field.
Freshmen Jordan Moehn and Gavin Winston each added a goal in the non-conference victory, which was the Falcons last non-league match of the season. Van Dusseldorp assisted on the Winston goal, giving him five points on the day.
Moehn (Fond du Lac, Wis.) got the scoring started just 3:06 into play when he scored off a pass from junior captain Diego Campos (Milwaukee, Wis.). The goal was Moehn's third of the season. Van Dusseldorp (Burlington, Wis.) would then score at the 9:54 mark, unassisted, giving the Falcons a 2-0 lead under 10 minutes into play.
Van Dusseldorp would strike again before halftime, scoring off a pass from Winston at the 23:27 mark. The sophomore now has four goals on the season, which is tied with Winston for the team lead.
Winston (Park Forest, Ill.) scored the lone CUW goal after halftime at the 59:48 mark. Senior Jacob Pope (Muskego, Wis.) launched a pass downfield to Van Dusseldorp who sent it across to Winston, making the score 4-0 in favor of the home team. Maranatha Baptist Bible would cut the lead to 4-1 with 23:18 left to play when Dustin Dolan scored off an assist from Timothy Rogers.
CUW doubled the MBBC shots as they recorded 20 in the contest. Moehn sent a match-high five shots at the Crusaders goalkeeper, while Van Dusseldorp and Winston each fired four. Wira Wama finished with a team-best four shots for Maranatha Baptist Bible.
Junior Eric Vogel (Itasca, Ill.) earned his fourth win of the season by making two saves. He played 79:28, while sophomore Alec Brew (Appleton, Wis.) relieved him over the final 10:32 of play. Alexander Kornivsky recorded four saves for the Crusaders.
