Corey Stark scored the Falcons' first 10 points and finished with 24 as Concordia (7-0) remained unbeaten in conference play via a 71-55 road conquest of Maranatha last evening.

CUW led by 7 at the break (36-29) but could not pull safely away from the Crusaders (1-4) until the last 4 minutes of the contest.

Stark's effort included 12-19 shooting marksmanship but his teammates were far less effective from the floor as Concordia's top 3 scorers (Skip Newton-Kemp; Mitchell Schneider: and Luke Doedens) hit only 9 of 31 field goal attempts collectively.

Concordia defenders forced Maranatha (5-7 overall) into 25 turnovers. Big Josh Stein corralled 14 rebounds and scored 21 points for the hosts. His teammate, Brendan Brown, led MBBC with 22 points.

Concordia (11-2 overall) travels to MSOE on Saturday for a 4:15 matchup.
