Falcon men overwhelm Aurora 89-65
Aurora, IL
"I can't say enough about our intensity," beamed Coach Shawn
Cassidy after his Falcons manhandled Aurora 89-65 on the road this
afternoon.
CUW (7-1) blistered the nets at a 53% clip, won the rebound battle
44-35, and controlled the game on both ends from start to
finish.
Mitchell Schneider led the way offensively with 23 points including
7-10 long range marksmanship, and teammate Cory Stark hauled down a
dozen rebounds and Edward Newton-Kemp scored his 1000th point as a
Falcon to join an elite group.
Luke Doedens and Matt Paluchniak combined for 11 assists as the
Falcons shared the ball beautifully to get open looks.
Fast-starting Concordia led 9-0 after two minutes and never allowed
the Spartans to get within hailing distance. "This is a tough
place to play but we were obviously ready," added Cassidy.
