Eggebrecht leads offense, Volleyball downs Rockford in road NACC match

ROCKFORD, Ill. – Jessica Eggebrecht posted her third double-figure kill match of the season to lead Concordia University Wisconsin to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-16) win over Rockford University on Tuesday evening inside the Seaver Center.

With the victory, the Falcons took over sole possession of fifth place in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference standings with three league matches to play. The top eight seeds advance to the NACC Tournament, which begins on Nov. 5. It was also the second-straight league road win for CUW (10-15, 4-4 NACC).

Eggebrecht (sophomore, Napoleon, Ohio) ended the match with 11 kills and a .370 attack percentage, while the Falcons concluded the sweep with a .262 hitting percentage – their highest hitting percentage in over two weeks.

Junior Carley Valentine (De Pere, Wis.) assisted on a team-high 22 kills, to go along with 11 digs and seven kills, for the team's only double-double. Senior Ashley Faber (Kewaskum, Wis.) finished with nine digs and sophomore Kelsa Rubeck (Eau Claire, Wis.) had a team-best 17 digs.

Freshman Karina Klotz (Hubertus, Wis.) led all players with a career-high four service aces and CUW tied its season-high with seven service aces.

RU (2-18, 0-7 NACC) was led by Katelyn Hasken's 12 digs and Taylor Rossi's 24 assists and seven digs. Heather Hyland led all players with 18 digs. The Regents ended the match with a .140 attack percentage.

CUW returns to its home court on Friday for a 4 p.m. NACC matchup against Alverno College inside the R. John Buuck Field House.
