Falcons Compete in Three Events on Friday

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's track & field team started the two-day North Central First Chance Meet on Friday. The Falcons competed in the 5000-meter run, weight throw and javelin competitions.

The Falcons had two student-athletes in the 5000-meter run. Sophomore Abigail Lange (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) crossed the finish line at 20:00.36 in eighth place. In 18th place was sophomore Sydney Leschisin (Turtle Lake, Wis.) at 22:26.80.

CUW had two participate in the javelin throw on Friday. Sophomore Paige Schrieber (Dousman, Wis.) was in 15th place at 27.59 meters. Freshman Madysen Gonzagowski (Madison, Wis.) reached 1646 meters in 39th place.

Concordia had four compete in the hammer throw. Junior Kailey Ramaker (Cedarburg, Wis.) led the Falcons in 28th place at 32.23 meters. In 30th place was sophomore Bryanna Mursch (Grafton, Wis.) at 31.53 meters, with freshman Makenna Herbrand (Fond du Lac, Wis.) in 31st place at 31.42. Madysen Gonzagowski was in 43rd place at 21.87 meters.

The Falcons wrap up the two-day competition on Saturday in Illinois.
