Miller lands NACC Women's Track & Field weekly award

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin sophomore Jennifer Miller has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Track & Field Student-Athlete of the Week for the events of Jan. 9-15, the league office announced Tuesday.

Miller (Freedom, Wis.) competed in three events at the Private College Invite and won all three to help the Falcons to a second-place finish as a team. She won both the 55-meter and 200-meter dashes with times of 7.61 and 27.18, respectively. Miller also tied for first in the pole vault with teammate Ariana Koehler (Lake Geneva, Wis.), both clearing 3.05 meters.

After the weekend Miller now ranks in the top five in the NACC in all three events. Her times in both the 55 and 200 were personal bests.

Miller and the Falcons are off this weekend before competing next Friday, January 27 at the Tadd Metzger Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The meet is set for a 3:30 p.m. start.
