Falcons win 2016-17 NACC Women's All-Sports Award

WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced that Concordia University Wisconsin has won the league's Women's All-Sports Award for the 2016-17 season. The win marks the fifth time the Falcons have won on the women's side and the first since 2010-11.

The Falcons compiled a 12.056 index, finishing ahead of runner-up Aurora (11.500). Aurora had won the previous four Women's All-Sports Awards and are tied with CUW for the most in NACC history with five.

CUW won NACC both the NACC regular season and tournament titles in volleyball and tennis this season. In addition, the Falcons captured a regular season title in basketball. Women's Basketball also reached the NACC Title Game in the league tournament.

In track & field, the Falcons placed second at both the indoor and outdoor championships this season. Softball added another high finish for CUW, tying for second in the regular season and posting a runner-up finish at the NACC Tournament this past week.

Other NACC women's sports for the Falcons this season were cross country (3rd), golf (4th) and soccer (7th).
