Larson, Falotico earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors

NEW ORLEANS – The Concordia University Wisconsin Track & Field program had two student-athletes earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors, the organization announced Monday.

Both Nicole Larson and Gavin Falotico were named to the USTFCCCA Midwest All-Region Team. In order to receive All-Region accolades, an athlete must finish in the top five in their region in an event, or be part of a top-3 relay team.

Larson (Milwaukee, Wis.) has been one of the top pole vaulters in the country all season. She will conclude her year at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships tomorrow, entering ranked seventh. She also ranks second in the region in the pole vault, behind Tommie Brenner of UW-Eau Claire.

Falotico (Palatine, Ill.) finished the year ranked 44th nationally in the javelin throw, an event he hadn't competed in until this season. He captured an individual title at the NACC Championships and finished the season ranked fourth in the region in the event.

The NACC had 17 student-athletes honored by the USTFCCA, 11 of those coming on the men's side and six for the women.
