MSOE wrestlers edge Falcons
MILWAUKEE -- Northern Wrestling
Association foe MSOE rebounded from a 10-3 deficit to earn four
straight wins in the middle weights and edge past Concordia
University Wisconsin, 27-16, Friday evening.
Both teams went into the match at 2-0 in conference action, but CUW
got only four wins on the night.
Battling back from a injury he sustained in January, junior Marcus
Lubner (Fredonia, Wis.) won a 12-2 major decision at 133 lbs., and
improved to 14-5 on the season.
Freshman Sean Ambrocio (San Antonio, Tex.) improved his record to
25-14 at 125 lbs. CUW added decisions by freshman Jake Reuteler
(New Berlin, Wis.) at 174 lbs., and sophomore Seth Kilkelly (Mt.
Horeb, Wis.) at 197 lbs. Reuteler earned a dramatic 9-8
decision win, while Kilkelly's margin was 9-5.
Head coach Bret Corner's Falcons travel to Lakeland College for the
NWA meet on Saturday, Feb. 18 with the first round scheduled for
9:00 a.m.
