Women's Lacrosse Lassos Both NACC Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athlete of the Week honors for women's lacrosse on Wednesday morning. Anna Gong was voted as the NACC Defensive Player of the Week and Katelyn Cardinale was voted as the NACC Offensive Player of the Week by the league's athletic communications professionals.

A junior midfielder from Phoenix, Arizona, Anna Gong is collecting the NACC Defensive Player of the Week honor for the second time this season.

A freshman attacker from Mount Laurel, New Jersey, Katelyn Cardinale is claiming her first-ever NACC honor.

Gong opened the week at Marian with four ground balls and two caused turnovers.

At Concordia Chicago, she scored a goal and gobbled up six ground balls and caused six turnovers.

Cardinale slashed the Sabres with six goals on Tuesday and also added a draw control and three ground balls.

She also added three goals and an assist at CUC, where she also had three ground balls.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday in a battle of unbeaten NACC teams against Aurora.
