KENOSHA, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's lacrosse team fell short on Wednesday night at Carthage. The Firebirds sent CUW to 1-2 on the year with the 18-3 victory.
The Concordia scoring started on Wednesday with a goal in the second quarter off the stick of junior Eliana Fuchs (Brookfield, Wis.).
Fuchs struck again in the third quarter.
Freshman Katelyn Cardinale (Mount Laurel, N.J.) closed the Concordia scoring with 1:28 left in the third quarter.
The Firebirds held a 40-9 advantage in shots on Wednesday.
Eliana Fuchs led the flock with three shots.
Sophomore Ava Karlov (Naperville, Ill.) led the Falcons on Wednesday night with three caused turnovers and four ground balls.
Sophomore Madisen Myers (Rosemount, Minn.) had eight saves and sophomore Sydney Dyba (Crown Point, Ind.) collected four saves.
The Falcons are scheduled to open the home portion of the schedule on Friday against Monmouth.
