Kami McCardle Claims NCHA Star of the Week Title

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) announced its Three Stars of the Week honors of the year on Tuesday morning. After taking four points from No. 5 Adrian, the Concordia Wisconsin women's hockey team secured one of the Three Stars of the Week honors from the conference.

A senior goalie from Jackson, Wisconsin, Kami McCardle is securing her fourth NCHA weekly honor of her career. She was voted the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week on Dec. 13, 2022, and on Nov. 16, 2021. McCardle also claimed the first NCHA Star of the Week honor on Nov. 5.

McCardle had a spectacular week at No. 5 Adrian.

She started the weekend with 42 saves in the 1-0 shutout over the Bulldogs.

The Jackson native then had 55 saves on Saturday in the overtime contest.

This is the fifth time a Falcon has claimed the honor. Junior Makayla Spejcher claimed the title on Nov. 5 and Dec. 3. Broke Gibson grabbed the honor on Jan. 14.

Joining McCardle as the other stars were Lexi Bonfe and Natalie Hogan of St. Norbert.

McCardle and the Falcons close out the regular season this weekend against Marian.
