Kennedy leads Women’s Hockey over Northland

ASHLAND, Wis. – Kristen Kennedy scored both of the Falcons' goals as the Concordia Wisconsin Women's Hockey team defeated Northland 2-1 on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Kennedy (London, Ontario) put the Falcons up 1-0 in the first period with a goal five minutes in. Jossa Danis (Brandon, Manitoba) and Issy Bilton (Burlington, Ontario) assisted on the goal.
-After a scoreless second period, Kennedy scored her second goal of the game four minutes into the third. Danis earned her second assist of the night on the goal, with Emily Godwin (London, Ontario) assisting as well.
-Allyson Reilly helped the Lumberjacks avoid a shutout by scoring with less than five minutes remaining, but it would not be enough to stop the Falcons from earning their fifth win of the season.
-Christina Pattengale (Portage, Mich.) had 26 saves in net for the Falcons.
-Gabby Shur saved 39 shots for the Lumberjacks.
-The Falcons outshot the Lumberjacks 41-27.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
-This was the 4th game between Concordia Wisconsin and Northland in Women's Hockey program history. The Falcons are 2-1-1 in the series. The first meeting between these teams was on December 1, 2017.
