Carpenter, Haen earn All-NACC honors; Falcons finish in 4th at NACC Championship

RACINE, Wis. – Amy Carpenter and Kayla Haen accomplished one of their personal goals on Sunday afternoon by finishing in the top-10 of the NACC Championship to earn All-NACC honors, while Concordia Wisconsin ended the tournament in fourth place at Meadowbrook Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-  Sophomore Amy Carpenter (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) and senior Kayla Haen (Appleton, Wis.) ended the NACC Championship in ninth and 10th place, respectively, to secure All-NACC honors. The league recognition is the first in their careers.
- Carpenter ended with a 279 total (96-92-91) and sank 12 pars throughout the tournament and pared the par 3 sixth hole and par 4 ninth hole twice. Haen shot a 283 total (99-94-90) and sunk a pair of birdie putts – par 5 first hole in round three and par 4 12th hole in round two – to go along with 11 pars.
- Sophomore Molly Mundinger (West Bend, Wis.) signed for a 101 on Sunday to finish with a 305 total (103-101-101) and had a pair of birdies – par 4 12th in the second round and par 3 17th on Sunday – while also draining four total pars to place in 16th overall.
- Sophomore Abbie Haller (Cedar Rapids, Wis.) recorded a 108 on Sunday and had a 321 total (103-111-108) over the 54 holes of play. She had four pars during the first two rounds of competition.
- Senior Emily Bubla (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) fired a 115 during the final round and ended with a 336 total (116-103-115). She had a pair of pars during her tournament rounds.
- Aurora won the tournament in record-breaking fashion with a 1,002 total and set the NACC Championship low round of 328 on Sunday, which broke the record of 334 it set on Friday. The Spartans win their seventh title overall and fourth in the last five years.
- Kallie Sakamoto was one of four Aurora players to finish in the top-6 and she won medalist honors and NACC Player of the Year accolades with a 239 total (80-82-77).
