Falcons improve during difficult NACC Championship

RACINE, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin was 10 shots better than the opening round of the NACC Women's Golf Championship, but were unable to move up on the leaderboard during the second round on Saturday at Meadowbrook Country Club.

Falcon Individuals: Amy Carpenter (96-92 – 188), Kayla Haen (99-94 – 193), Molly Mundinger (103-101 –204), Abbie Haller (102-111 – 213), Emily Bubla (118-103 – 221)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Scoring as a whole was better, but the leaderboard still looked the same after 36 holes of play of the NACC Championship. Concordia Wisconsin was 10 shots better and was able to gain six shots on third place Benedictine.
-  Sophomore Amy Carpenter (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) continues to sit atop the Falcons lineup after carding a 92 on day two, which was a four-shot improvement, to remain in 10th place. The top-10 earn All-NACC honors after the tournament.
- Senior Kayla Haen (Appleton, Wis.) moved up three spots on the leaderboard after shooting a 94 on Saturday and is in 11th place overall with a 193 total (99-94). Sophomore Molly Mundinger (West Bend, Wis.) signed for a 101 during the second set of 18 holes and moved into 18th place overall.
- Sophomore Abbie Haller (Cedar Rapids, Wis.) finished with a 111 total for a 36-hole total of 213 and senior Emily Bubla (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) had the greatest improvement for the Falcons with a 103, which was 15 shots better than the opening round.
- Aurora increased its lead on the field from 53 strokes to 88 after shooting a 340 team score for a two-day total of 674. In addition, they have the top three golfers on the individual leaderboard, with Becca Haseman and Kallie Sakamoto each shooting an 82 for a 36-hole total of 162.
