Women’s Golf plays in UW-Whitewater Spring Fling

BELOIT, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin's Leah Wilde and Kayla Haen competed in the two-day, 36-hole UW-Whitewater Spring Fling on Friday and Saturday at the Beloit Club.

THE BASICS
Course; Beloit Club (par 72, 5,816 yards)
Falcon Individuals: Leah Wilde (101-94 – 195), Kayla Haen (102-105 – 207), Maddy Zastrow (88-wd)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman Leah Wilde (Kewaskum, Wis.) carded a 195 total (101-94) to finish in a tie for 50th. She moved up 11 spots on the leaderboard after shooting seven strokes better from the first to second rounds.
- Sophomore Kayla Haen (Appleton, Wis.) shot a 207 total (102-105) to end in a tie for 71st.
- Junior Maddy Zastrow (Greendale, Wis.) shot an 88 in the opening round before withdrawing.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Illinois Wesleyan shot a 653 total (330-323) to run away with team trophy by 29 shots over Carthage.
- Jordan Koehler (Illinois Wesleyan) won medalist honors with a 156 total (79-77).

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin will host Lakeland and Marian in a triangular on Friday at The River Club in Mequon, Wis.
