Women's Golf competes at UW-Whitewater Fall Classic

DELAVAN, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin finished 13th at the difficult two-day 36-hole UW-Whitewater Fall Classic at Delbrook Golf Course. Kayla Haen led the Falcons lineup with a tie for 57th place.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin shot a 401-381 (782) two-day total to finish in 13tth overall. Their 20 stroke improvement was the second best by a team at the tournament.
- Sophomore Kayla Haen (Appleton, Wis.) led the Falcons with a tie for 57th after shooting a 92-42 (186) total. She was one of four golfers in the lineup to improve from round one to two at the event.
- Junior Maddy Zastrow (Greendale, Wis.) carded a 100-91 (191) to tie for 61st position, while junior Emily Hillman (Germantown, Wis.) had a 98-100 (198) 36-hole total, which was good for a tie for 75th.
- Freshman Leah Wilde (Kewaskum, Wis.) also tied for 75th after signing for a 104-97 (201) total. Freshman Leanne Siewert (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) ended the tournament with a 109-94 (203) total to tie for 84th place.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Carthage won the team trophy with a 318-315 (633) total and was 12 strokes in front of second place.
- Allie Girard (Lake Forest) took medalist honors with a 73-80 (153) total to edge Sarah Lyman (Carthage) by a stroke.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- The Falcons travel to the Aurora Fall Invitational in their final tune-up before the three-day 54-hole Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship on Friday-Sunday.
