STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Falcons tipped off the 2021-22 season on Friday night at Wisconsin-Stevens Point against the 18th-ranked Warhawks of Whitewater. The Warhawks proved why they are ranked so high and improved to 2-0 on the year with a 71-46 victory.
The Falcons held a brief lead when senior Emily Hafemann (Hales Corners, Wis.) hit a layup to give the Falcons a 4-2 lead.
UWW outscored the Falcons in all four quarters to pull away.
Emily Hafemann led the flock with 13 points.
Junior Lindsey Smitsdorff (Coon Rapids, Minn.) led the game with 14 rebounds.
CUW looks to bounce back on Saturday against the Pointers of Stevens Point.
