Timmy Brey Qualifies For NCAA Championships

MEQUON, Wis. – The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) announced the qualifiers for the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships on Sunday afternoon.

Timmy Brey was announced as one of the qualifiers for the championships.

"I would like to thank God because without him none of this would be possible," said Timmy Brey. "I would like to thank  my family, coaches, teammates, and friends because without their support and their pushing me to be better, I would not have ended up in this position."

Timmy Brey, a senior from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, is qualifying for the NCAA Championships for the first time in his storied career.

This is the fourth time that a Falcon has qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships. Micah Lorenzen qualified in 2006 and 2007, finishing 32nd in 2006. Andy Ashenden also qualified in 2010.

On Saturday, Brey claimed All-North Regional honors when he finished in 16th place at the regional championships at 24:59.80.

He was one of thirty-eight individuals that were selected to participate in the championships.

The 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships will take place on November 23 in Terre Haute, Indiana, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. The men's 8000-meter championship race is scheduled for 12:00.
