
Spencer Herman Claims Male Career Achievement Award
MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Department of Athletics has announced Spencer Herman of the men's volleyball program as the 2023-24 Male Career Achievement Award recipient.
A senior from Kimberly, Wisconsin, Spencer Herman helped take the men's volleyball program to new heights during his career.
Herman collected many national honors during his time at Concordia. He was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region Team on three different occasions. In 2022, he claimed AVCA All-America Honorable Mention honors. Herman was also voted the AVCA National Player of the Week on three different occasions.
He also claimed four All-Conference First-Team selections in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. The Kimberly native was also voted as the NACC Freshman of the Year in 2021. He finished his career as the NACC's all-time leader in kills with 1176.
Herman finished his storied career with 1176 kills, 626 digs, 206 blocks, 83 service aces and 35 assists. He holds the program match record for kills at 33, match attack percentage at .680, points in a match at 33.5, kills in a four-set match at 33, kills in a five-set match at 26, digs in a four-set match at 18, digs in a five-set match with 20, points in a four-set match with 33.5 and points in a five-set match with 31. Herman also holds the top three records for kills in a season at 357, 330 and 306 and the top three season points records with 397, 386 and 369. The pride of Kimberly also sits atop the program record book in kills with 1176, kills per set at 4.00, attacks at 2731, digs at 626, points at 1369 and points per set at 4.66.
