Lucas Beres Named NACC Defensive Player of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) released its weekly Student-Athlete of the Week Honors for Men's Volleyball on Tuesday morning. Lucas Beres was voted the NACC Defensive Player of the Week by the league's athletics communications professionals.

A junior middle hitter from Germantown, Wisconsin, Lucas Beres is claiming the defensive honor for the first time this season, in February, he was named the NACC Offensive Player of the Week. He has now claimed five NACC weekly honors with two offensive honors and three defensive honors.

At Marian, he went off for eight blocks and finished with six kills with a .500 hitting percentage.

He followed that up with three blocks, two digs, an assist and seven kills at a .467 clip against Concordia Chicago.

Josh McLellan of Aurora was voted as the Offensive Player of the Week.

Beres and the Falcons resume action on March 12 at MSOE.
