Men’s Soccer downs Edgewood at the last second

MADISON, Wis. – The Falcons won their second-straight overtime game on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons scored with five seconds left to take home a 2-1 video. The Falcons improve to 2-0-0 on the year.

Edgewood took a 1-0 lead into halftime with a goal in the 42nd minute.

Sophomore Gilberto Gomez tied the game in the 62nd minute off a pass from senior Tyler Salvador.

Gomez struck again with five seconds left in overtime after he was to sneak the ball into the corner of the net on a two-on-one with sophomore Ivan Cuellar.

Junior Matthew Klug collected two saves on Sunday.

CUW held a 29-10 shooting advantage against Edgewood.

The Falcons open the home schedule on Wednesday against MSOE.
