Peterson, Gramarossa named MLC Players of the Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's Connor Peterson and Ben Gramarossa have been named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced.

Peterson (Calgary, Alberta) guided the Falcons to a season-opening 17-3 victory over visiting Northland College Saturday. The junior attacker netted a career-best six goals and had a hat trick by halftime before three-consecutive goals to start the second half. He also had an assist, two ground balls, and a caused turnover.

Gramarossa (Smithtown, N.Y.) won 18-of-21 faceoffs for CUW in the win over Northland. The senior midfielder had four faceoff wins in the first half, and five in the second half to go along with five ground balls.

The conference weekly honor is the first of Peterson's career and third of Gramarossa's career.
