Schlosser ties for 8th, Men's Golf competes at Pilot Spring Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Sam Schlosser shot a pair of rounds in the 70s to tie for eighth place and Concordia Wisconsin took seventh overall at the two-day, 36-hole Pilot Spring Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman Sam Schlosser (West Bend, Wis.) was the only Falcon to shoot both rounds in the 70s, as he signed for a 75-78 (153) to tie for eighth place overall. It was his second top-10 finish of the season.
- Concordia Wisconsin carded a 648 total (324-324) to tie for eighth place overall out of 10 teams that finished.
- Freshman Andrew Otto (Kewaskum, Wis.) ended with a 162 total (84-78) and had the greatest improvement from round one to the final 18 holes in the Falcons lineup of six strokes. He placed in a tie for 28th.
- Senior Bill Jones (New Holstein, Wis.) signed for a 164 total (79-85), which was good for a tie for 31st. His 79 was the ninth round in the 70s this season.
- Sophomore Jacob Tenlen (Montreal, Wis.) had a 169 total (86-83) to tie for 37th, while sophomore Jake Lipski (New Berlin, Wis.) shot a 177 total (90-87).

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Schlosser's 36-hole total of 153 is tied for the 14th lowest in program history.
- Indiana Wesleyan won the team trophy handily with a 608 (307-301) team score, which was 18 strokes better than second place Purdue Northwest.
- Jake Coffey (Indiana Wesleyan) won medalist honors with a 2-over par 146 (72-74).
- The average score per golf was 82.66, just over 10 strokes above par, while the average team score was 324.09.
